Akagami no Shirayuki-hime

8.50 (very good) /manga/ Such an adorable, little shoujo. It can get a bit cheesy at times, but it definitely has a lot of heart.

8.25 (good) /manga/ So, the trainwreck of the Anna arc has made me re-evaluate this manga. Still a very nice read, nevertheless.

Alice 19th

5.50 (average) /manga/ Started out good, but felt a bit rushed.

Alive: The Final Evolution

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Mar 23, 2014

9.50 (excellent) /manga/ An incredibly bittersweet yet hopeful look at the meaning of life and death. Made all the more poignant by the fact that the mangaka wrote the final chapters on his literal deathbed.

Amatsuki

8.00 (good) /manga/ Great art, great story, but a bit confusing at times...

Angel Sanctuary

9.00 (very good) /manga/ Great plot, characters, and storyline. However, a bit too many plot twists.

6.25 (average) /manga & anime/ Interesting enough. Cute.

Ao no Exorcist

Seen: partially

6.00 (average) /manga/ A typical shounen. Nothing terrible, but nothing fantastic that would compel me to continue it, either. Dropped.

Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio

Seen: partially

Last Updated: Mar 23, 2014

9.00 (very good) /anime & manga/ The rating is solely for the manga. The anime adaptation was so incredibly terrible that I am hereby pretending that it does not exist. Seiji Kishi once again ruins a beautiful series with awful pacing, but, hey, what else is new?

Are You Alice

Seen: partially

Last Updated: May 09, 2011

9.75 (excellent) /manga/ The only reason this is not rated a perfect ten is because it is incomplete. Honestly, the best Alice in Wonderland adaption I have ever laid eyes on.

Ayashi no Ceres

7.75 (good) /manga/ Interesting plot. Interesting characters. Didn't really like the love triangle though...

10.00 (excellent) /anime/ Amazing. A bit confusing at first, but, ultimately, everything pieces together perfectly. Great characterization too.

8.75 (very good) /manga/ Ending was a bit predictable... but GREAT action scenes.

Beyblade

9.25 (very good) /anime & manga/ Great setting. Great characters. Great guns.

Bleach

Seen: partially

Last Updated: May 08, 2011

6.00 (average) /anime & manga/ A typical, hugely popular, neverending shounen anime with too many flashbacks.

Blood Alone

8.50 (very good) /manga/ Seven Seas's omnibus of this is amazing. =w=

Bloody Cross

9.25 (very good) /manga/ Unexpectedly good.

Bloody Monday

Seen: partially

Last Updated: May 09, 2011

6.50 (above average) /manga/ Dropped. Needed to exercise way too much suspension of disbelief for my liking. A manga with a senseless powerhouse cast of teenagers (super hacker, amazing archer, kickass karate girl, etc.) who always seems to be caught up in some villain's destroy-the-world scheme? No, please.

Bokurano

10.00 (excellent) /manga/ Beautiful and magnificent and heart-rending. Mohiro Kitoh certainly does not disappoint.

Buddy Complex

Seen: partially

Last Updated: Mar 23, 2014

6.50 (above average) /anime/ Surprisingly not terrible. I had been expecting the worst after Valvrave, but Buddy Complex, while generic as heck, is not the level of mind-numbing offense that Valvrave was. There are definitely problems with Buddy Complex, not least of which that it's basically just an amalgam of every single mecha series Sunrise has ever done, but Sunrise really, really knows how to animate cool-looking and fun mecha battles, and, really, that's all I'm looking for here: mindless entertainment. So, it's enjoyable.

8.75 (very good) /manga & anime/ I hope that Minekura revisits and finishes this manga someday.

Busou Renkin

8.00 (good) /manga/ On hold. No one is scanlating, and I can't find it retail.

Canvas 2: Niji-iro no Sketch

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Oct 30, 2009

1.00 (terrible) /anime/ Hiroki is an idiot. Elis is a spoiled brat. Ending had no buildup leading to it and seemed as if it was decided at the last minute.

Cencoroll

8.25 (good) /anime/ Cute. Really interesting concept.

Chrno Crusade

10.00 (excellent) /manga/ One of my favorite mangas of all time. Best Clamp work to date, in my opinion.

Count Cain

8.50 (very good) /manga/ Gets better as the plot is revealed. Interesting ending.

Cowboy Bebop

Seen: partially

Last Updated: Mar 23, 2014

8.50 (very good) /anime/ Slowly and steadily getting through this. Really enjoying it so far, but it's definitely not a series that I can marathon. It's much too "heavy" for that.

D Gray-Man

5.75 (average) /manga/ Art is a bit messy. Confusing. Characterization a bit weird...?

D.N.Angel

Last Updated: Oct 30, 2009

7.50 (good) /anime & manga/ THE fantasy shoujo manga.

Dangan Ronpa

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Mar 23, 2014

6.00 (average) /anime/ Yeah, Seiji Kishi adapted this, so it was a godawful adaptation. Keeping the original "accessories" (for lack of a better word) from the game was neat, though, but it doesn't save this adaptation at all, and in the end, Kishi simply made himself look lazy by basically copying-and-pasting the game and deleting a few segments.

Darker than Black

8.00 (good) /anime/ If I could give DtB an award, it would be for "best anime action scenes".

Day of Revolution

Last Updated: Oct 30, 2009

7.00 (above average) /manga/ Okay... Almost crosses the line from shoujo to shounen-ai...

Deadman Wonderland

8.25 (good) /manga/ Good so far. Ganta is a wuss, though.

Death Note

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Oct 30, 2009

8.00 (good) /anime & manga/ Didn't particularly like it. Though it had pretty deep psychological battles, it almost crosses the line a few times and nearly always ends in making the audience feel stupid. Still fairly decent, regardless.

Digimon

Seen: partially

Last Updated: Oct 30, 2009

7.50 (good) /anime/ Haven't watched Digimon Savers. The other series were good though. :)

Dogs: Bullets and Carnage

7.00 (above average) /manga/ I used to love this, but... Recent chapters have been confusing and the art is rushed.

Dragon Ball

6.50 (above average) /anime/ I have no comments.
